This product’s review this is a good one. I’ve been looking at a smaller version, but I have little experience with required software. This simple walkthrough video does the job and takes away the learning fear factor. Yes, a better video would help, but from what I understand it is a great product. Its on my near retirement list of product for my woodworking shop. If price drops another $500. & competes with compucarve, but it appears superior, more reliable. X Gen has no attention span.

I love the concept of a CNC system for the home shop. But I have yet to find ANY company show me how simple it is to use. I can find tons of negative critiques on them. Seems to me that this technology is not ready for the home shop.

I used to train staff software at banks for automated payment systems, we weren’t the people who were selling dodgy loans either, but this guy is very good for all those who need to hear, see and know what you need to do. This is engineering and software training talk. No jolly bits just information you need. There will never be an X-Factor competition for this type of work. If you want cnc machining with music, lights and a camp host go search for it.

If I had the CNC Shark (or a Rockler here in Florida), I would be down there in a minute with my video cameras, lights, and a couple of scripts. I know times are tight, but, if you can generate interest in a machine that costs over $3000, then Rockler should look into making a bit more of an effort. its not a ding on you, or the company. Its just a fact. When times are tight, we all have to pull a little harder. I do it now at my work, and would love to help Rockler do it too.

I’m waiting for you to submit your video.
If it is good we may use it.

  9. RocklerWoodworking says:

This was original shot on the whim as an internal instructional video. People at the stores requested we make it public.
    Sorry it bores you.

  10. RocklerWoodworking says:

This was originally created as an internal training video.
We had a lot of our people in the stores requesting copies or posting it on YouTube so they could show the people who were interested in the Shark.

Hey times are tight. We haven’t produced many videos for our own products.

I must agree. This video is awful.

I’ve been a fan of Rockler products for many years. This video does not create any excitement about this interesting product nor does it reflect well on the good Rockler name.

    I CAN do better.

Rockler, please contact me when you are interested in producing a more exciting video that will help drive sales to your site.

Ok, as a prior employee of Rockler who used to teach at the Tukwilla, WA. store, and LOVES Rockler, I have to say that although the tool is amazing, this video really stinks. Please contact me so we can figure out how to make this MUCH better. Generate excitement, not the need for a pillow!
